Hope
A Message from ThunderStrikes
What follows is a conversation between ThunderStrikes and his apprentice Jan Orsi.
JO: ThunderStrikes, many people find it very difficult to hold on to Hope in our current day-to-day reality. A sense of hopelessness is widespread given the state of the world, which seems to be cycling more and more into darkness. Will you speak to us of Hope?
TS: The Grand Design of the Great Spirit, of the Universe, must be evolutionary. I cannot fathom it otherwise. Ancient knowledge and historical records show that dark times ultimately cycle back into light then cycle into dark, then cycle around to light times again, and so forth. Small cycles are part of larger cycles, which are part of the Big Cycle of the Grand Design. So I can hold on to Hope in that big picture. There must be Trust, Truth and Faith in this Grand Design.
For the Grand Design to be in a continuous state of evolution, the duality of dark and light must always be present. The Gold Horse never completely defeats the Dark Horse. So the race seesaws back and forth, one horse taking the lead over the other then falling back, then surging forward to take the lead again. The Elders say that during the Dark Ages, for example, the Dark Horse was ahead and the ratio of dark to light was 60%/40%. Today the Elders say that the Dark Horse leads at 70%, the strongest it has ever been.
As we move to 2012, we are in the time of a critical razor’s edge, a collective turning point and the turning of tides of the Rainbows Bridge Prophecies. Within eight years we must gain back what has been lost.
JO: What will turn the tide back again in favor of the Gold Horse?
TS: Part of that turning of the tides will be the coordination of efforts between the balanced 4 humans, many of whom are the indigenous native peoples, and balanced 5s, who together create the 9 of choreography necessary to create a 50/50 balance in the race and hopefully bring more Light into the equation. The Elders are now dreaming that out to 2024. This is the first time they have gone beyond 2012 in their prophetic dreaming.
Part of that turning of the tides is the ability to wake up and discern the truth despite the bullshit we are being fed by the media, and mobilize the voices and will of the people to hold on to what we have and gain back what we have lost. This is critical all over the world and especially in the United States.
JO: So what was the key? What caused the turning of the tide toward the dark side that is empowering the Dark Horse?
TS: Most important on a global scale, economic control has been amassed through corporate conglomerates in consort with the financial brokers and banking systems to infiltrate, corrupt, and pollute the economic base of Europe, America, and Asia. One of the ways to do that is to regulate the money flow by creating three currencies into one currency into a cashless society. That started with the implementation of the European Common Unit (ECU). Plans are already in the works to convert currencies in this hemisphere to the American Common Unit (ACU), a fact never mentioned in the media. Eventually Asian currencies will be converted to the Pacific Common Unit (PCU). The final step will be to establish a universal currency. This will destroy the economic integrity of many countries and cultures; the ECU has already seriously devalued European currencies, causing a domino effect.
In the Americas, NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), AFTA, GATT (General Commandment on Tariffs and Trade) free trade agreements will erode the economic base of the countries in this hemisphere. This is already happening. In Mexico, for example, farmers are facing ruin because they are unable to compete with foodstuffs imported from the United States.
Over the last twenty years especially, two shifts have taken place in the corporate/industrial arena—commonly referred to as outsourcing and downsizing. Outsourcing is a strategy that has moved manufacturing to mostly Third World countries where the labor is cheap and regulatory guidelines and laws are minimal. Downsizing, on the other hand, has closed many manufacturing facilities or reduced output at home, thus drastically reducing the number of workers and causing great financial hardship.
A third strategy not talked about is importation of foreign workers. Immigration policies encouraged influx of blue-collar workers in the 1980s, white-collar workers in the 1990s, and now in the new century skilled professionals. These strategies are eliminating the middle class. A similar situation exists in many countries in Europe. The large international conglomerates are the only ones gaining.
The list of causes is long, including war to secure access to oil, domination in many parts of the world by the UN, specifically through UNESCO and IMF (the International Monetary Fund), corruption and destruction of peoples’ financial well-being by such companies as Enron and others, and so on. All of this generates a sense of hopelessness and despair.
JO: What happened on a personal level that contributed to the dark side gaining the upper hand? Where is personal responsibility in all this?
TS: For one thing people became complacent, stepped into mediocrity, and began to value entertainment. They stopped being watchful and informed, relinquishing their liberties to government and financial institutions to make decisions for them and provide safety and security. This we know is an illusion because no one or no thing can guarantee your safety and security. People turned to distractions and entertainment as a way of avoiding major issues. As things snowballed, they gave up any hope that they could make a difference.

JO: In other words, we got seduced by the good life.
TS: Yes. People have also bought in the “mushroom medicine” by those in control. Mushroom medicine consists of misinformation, biased presentations and skewing of the facts, facts left out or glossed over or made light of as entertainment. All this keeps people in the dark, and it is perpetrated b y the powers that be in the media, in government, and in the financial/corporate arenas. Basically, people are being fed bullshit, and they believe it. So mushroom medicine is bullshit that fertilizes and feeds mushrooms that grow in the dark. People are taking mushroom medicine every day. Complacency is rampant.
JO: You said earlier that there must be Trust, Truth, and Faith in the Grand Design. How can we foster Hope in all of this?
TS: You cannot have Hope without first establishing Trust, Truth, and Faith. My Hope is anchored in Faith. Picture this relationship in the form of a scale, a balance, anchored in Grandmother Earth.
All we have is our own Truth, the knowledge that works for us and increases our measure of self-worth, self-acceptance, and self-deservement, not self-pity and self-importance.
First, notice the arrow pointing in toward Trust. First, we establish Trust in ourselves through gaining (receiving) knowledge and valid experience, finding out what works and “grows corn” for the children. We do this through reading books and newspapers (both in and out of the mainstream), listening to radio (both in and out of the mainstream), searching on the Internet, reading newspapers and magazines from other countries (which may also be biased but will give you a different viewpoint), and so on. Study and free think.
Study and free think. First assume something is absolutely false, then search and study to try to prove it true. You will find what is true and valid for you in this process and recognize the mushroom medicine. It is disheartening to know, for example, that a huge number of people are not knowledgeable about the [US] Constitution or governing charters of their respective countries. How can they possibly know what is true and valid and what is falsehood?
Second, we establish Trust in Spirit through serious study and ceremonial work in the gateway process of our path with heart. This strengthens our connection with Spirit, heightens our awareness, shifts our Assemblage Point into 4 and beyond on the Red Road, and matures our soul.
And third, we establish our trust in Sacred Law by studying the Sacred Laws and using them as guides in our everyday lives. Study them, explore them, integrate them, and let them be your guiding gyroscope for all your thoughts, words, and actions.
All this establishes Trust. From that we know our Truth—principles, values, and knowledge—that works for us and which we use to consciously assemble our world. Truth is how I accomplish my life. Notice the arrow that takes our Truth out into the world.
Our Trust and Truth is directed by Hope into our Faith, which is anchored in Grandmother Earth. This enables us to determine who/what we can have faith in and who/what we cannot have faith in. Faith is a combination of honesty, integrity, and respect. If I cannot see honesty and integrity in someone or something, I can’t respect her/him/it; consequently, I cannot have faith in her/him/it.
Hope is the fulcrum, the point upon which the balance of this scale depends. However, you cannot have Hope with Trust, Truth, and Faith. If you accept something on blind faith and without any study or contemplation, the anchor pulls out of the ground and the scale collapses. False hope and wishful thinking are born of ignorance. Faith cannot be based on opinions formulated in ignorance or on beliefs masquerading as Truth. Mushroom medicine and beliefs coming out of complacency and mediocrity will always destroy this balance.
So Hope is fostered by getting informed, recognize and identify what’s reality and what’s not. Don’t be tricked. Make informed decisions. This whole scale is at Assemblage Point 4, No Concern. It tells me what I should be concerned about and what I should not be concerned about.

TS: Yes, it is the most determinate in the East of the Wheel of Life. Overlay the Warrior’s Attributes and explore their relationships with the five huaquas. You do not have Harmony without the other Huaquas, and when you take away the spiritual essence of Hope, which is the determiner in this scale of spiritual justice, you have a train wreck. No matter the arena.
It is easy to be overwhelmed and feel hopeless by the global picture. But remember what you are—a cell in the Great Spirit’s body. You are here with your talents, skills, and abilities, your genius. You foster Hope by first placing Trust in yourself. Use this scale as a visual model to help you develop your Trust, Truth, and Hope and then put the original creativity of your genius out into the world.
