A Closer Look at The Tyrant
Last blog, we looked at the story & teaching of this tyrant. Now, let’s examine the four faces of the lord, king, queen tyrants.

In the south are the socialists and communists. Socialism is a political and economic theory or policy of social organization which advocates that the community as a whole should own and control the means of production, capital, land, property, etc. It is also a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism. Many countries are socialist to a degree: Sweden is perhaps the best example. Citizens own property and businesses, but many of the large industries and all services to the people are provided by the state like medical care, old age benefits, etc. France has some of the aspects of socialism, but many industries and services are privately owned.
Communism is a system of society with property vested in the community and each member working for the common benefit according to his or her capacity and receiving according to his or her needs. You might say that communism is the extreme expression of socialism. The former USSR was a prime example. Some would say that the policies of our current government in America are taking us into a socialist/communist form of government instead of the true Republic form of government it was originally founded as.
In the west are the dictators. Absolute power and control is in the hands of one person, who often rules brutally and oppressively. Idi Amin of Uganda was a prime example. Also, the Third Reich and Saddam Hussein.
In the north is the totalitarian system. This is a political regime based on subordination of the individual to the state which tolerates only one political party to which all other institutions are subordinated. The state has strict control of all aspects of life by coercive measures. Because the people must adhere to the philosophy and protocols of the state, there is no place for individual autonomy or freedom. As a result, the state dictates what meaning and purpose in life the people will have. It sits in the north because this is where the hunter/workers are. Examples of this form of government are Iraq and most of the middle eastern countries.
In the east are authoritarians. This is a form of government that imposes common social purposes on its citizens and requires blind obedience to those purposes. The concentration of political power is in an authority not responsible to the people, nor giving the people the responsibility of governing themselves. Here it doesn’t matter what the vision of the people is, they will blindly accept what the authority says.
An authoritarian government could be totalitarian, socialist, communist or a dictatorship. In history there were more examples of this form of government, a monarchy for example. Although England has a parliament that makes decisions for the country, Elizabeth II as the Queen of England rules through the influence of royalty. Another example is King Hussein of Jordan.
Counting Coup On The Tyrant

The sitting place (3) of this tyrant is the east. These tyrants want to possess and totally dominate your spirit. They thrive on power. They are usually very repressed individuals themselves and want to repress your natural self. These tyrants will often use west tyrants to accomplish their task of domination.
They are masters at throwing your timing off and disrupting your patterns. I saw a documentary on Hitler’s regime and an interesting point was made by one survivor. He said that they were always kept off balance by constantly having to move very fast from place to place. The soldiers would keep their timing so thrown off that the people didn’t have time to think about anything but moving along with the flow that was created. Their goal is to restrict your freedom.
The one (1) place is where you open the door to this tyrant. What opens the door is greed-the greed of the tyrant because they “want it all” and that means possession of you. Your Inner Tyrant’s greediness for money or a better way of life will allow the tyrant in. Many dictators have been handed the keys to the city by its citizens because they promised more jobs, higher wages and a better way of life.
You must count coup on this tyrant at (5) in the southwest. The only way to get out from under their control is to get away or be willing to die. This, of course, depends on the level of tyranny that you are confronting. To stop this tyrant, you must “fight or flee”. You must confront them and control the space or gain space and distance and flee from them. If you don’t do this, they will possess you, take away your freedom and keep you in slavery, using you as a resource to fulfill their greed and avarice.
The true teaching of this tyrant lies at six (6) in the west, the place of the physical body and health. You learn the consequence of not dealing with this tyrant is to remain a victim, asleep, ignorant and living the existence of a sheep who has given their freedom away. And that freedom is the most important reason
for confronting this tyrant. You must properly assess your abilities and be able to discern when to fight or flee from them. If you flee from them, be swift and cunning. If you fight, you know that “today is a good day to die”.
Join us on the next blog as we learn about the inner self tyrant.
