SOUTHWEST: SLY, CUNNING, DEVIOUS TYRANT, Part 2
Part of our Tyrants blog series where you will learn the many faces of the tyrants. You will learn about the other tyrants of life like time, situations, space and the environment. You will also learn about the people called “Two-Legged Tyrants” and what their focus is for tyranting you. You will clearly see how you opened the door and let the tyrant in. A Closer Look At The Tyrant
Last blog, we looked at the story & teaching of this tyrant. We will now examine the four faces of the sly, cunning devious tyrants.
The south are the con artists and those committing misdemeanors. Con artists are in the south because they often have a “line” or story that they use to con you. They can swindle, persuade and cajole you into getting from you what they want. You cannot give to them without them wanting more. In the story, Haile Selassie the warlord and Dejazmach Balcha the warrior are both examples of con artists. It was a matter of who was going to out con whom.
Those guilty of misdemeanors are in the south because the crimes they commit are misdeeds, and often will render only fines as the punishment. For example, a panderer is someone who exploits others’ desires or weaknesses. Both these south faces play upon your emotions.
The west face is co-dependent relationships. Someone who is dependent is one who relies on another for support. In a co-dependent relationship both partners are relying on the other, and their identity and security is at stake. In many co-dependent relationships the attachment is so strong that if one of the partners acts outside the defined parameters of the relationship or leaves, the other will suffer ill health. Usually in these types of relationships the partners do not come out and say “I am totally dependent on you for my survival”; they will use the sly, cunning and devious tyrant mask to manipulate the other person.
In the north face are the politicians and government officials. This is the place of the philosophy and belief systems of the people. The politicians and government officials are elected officials that have as their responsibility to do the will of the people. However, often they do what the special interest groups want them to do and this in turn benefits the politicians because it is these groups who often get them reelected. If they were straight forward with the reasons they were voting the way they do, the people might not elect them again. So the politicians and government officials will become sly, cunning, devious tyrants between the interplay of doing the will of the people and the pressure to do what the special interest groups want.
The east face is the male “paid escort, sometimes known as a gigolo” and the female “man teaser”. This is in the east because of their sexual connotation and connection. A “paid escort/gigolo” is a man who is supported by a woman for his attentions. This tyrant will be sly, cunning, and devious to get the woman to continue to support him. He must be devious because if he asks straight out for the woman to support him for sex, most likely she would refuse. A man teaser is a woman who teases a man, flirts, and really comes on, but rarely delivers the goods. She usually does this to be supported by the man and keep him hanging on. She won’t come straight out and ask for what she wants because she fears the man will refuse and quite possibly leave her.
Counting Coup On The Tyrant
This sly, cunning, devious tyrant’s sitting place (3) is in the southwest, with the symbols of everyday life experiences. This tyrant attacks you where you are hiding things from yourself in the places in your life where you deny what is really so for you. They, in fact, will attack the symbols you are fooling yourself about and think they are open but really aren’t. By not wanting to open the closed symbols you will repress further the “monster” behind them. This tyrant works with jealously and envy. Basically, they don’t think they have nor can get what you have, so they will manipulate through cunning and devious behavior. These tyrants will also work on your Inner Tyrant who is jealous and envious that you don’t have and can’t have what you want.
The (1) place is where you open the door to this tyrant. One (1) is in the east, the place of fantasy, illusion and repression on the trigger wheel. When you are repressed, you exclude vision and creativity from your consciousness. This tyrant keys in on this energy and little by little their manipulation opens the door to further manipulation. You may at some point feel that you are being manipulated and give in or resist, which creates further repression. This tyrant actually manipulates you by what you have repressed in your subconscious and unconscious.
They cause you to question whether or not you really know yourself. A person who is manipulating you sexually will try to rush you into something or deliberately slow your pace, confuse you and throw you off. For example, a cunning tyrant might tell you that you must make love with them now because after all life is short and opportunity only knocks once and you might both be dead tomorrow. Or as a deliberate ploy play you like a fish, letting some string out, playing hard to get, then reeling you in. Here is where you become vulnerable to the tyrant. Through their manipulation they will convince you that you don’t know what you really want and so convince you to do what they have planned already.
The (5) place is in the north, the place of meaning and purpose, and insecurity on the trigger wheel. To count coup on this tyrant you must be able to see through the manipulation as well as your own repressions and closed symbols. If you have drawn this tyrant into your circle, you know they are working your unconscious and subconscious repressions to make you go even more unconscious so they can continue to run their game on you. These tyrants are trying to weaken your power and strength by working on your fear of the situation. The sly, cunning and devious tyrant knows this strategy will work because they have used it hundreds of times.
Therefore before this tyrant has a chance to weaken your resolve, you must use a wind sword, verbal communication and expose their true intent. You must let the tyrant know that you know what their game is and that you are not playing. When you do this, the game is up, the manipulation is called for what it is, and the sly, cunning, devious behavior stops.
At (6) which is in the northeast, you get the true teaching of this tyrant-to deal with your repressions and closed symbols and not be at the effect nor play into the game of the master manipulator. In the northeast, the place of choreography and design, you also learn how to relax and keep your focus and stay out of depression and stress.
