The Karma, Aura, and Soul Vine Eyes
The teachings of the Human Flowering Tree and Luminous Egg Cocoon remind us that humanity is far more than the pain and struggles of its history. By learning the developmental and evolutionary stages of being human, we uncover a deeper understanding of our potential to transform and mature. These teachings challenge us to embrace both light and shadow, turning past experiences into fertile ground for growth. Through the Luminous Egg Cocoon, we can raise our Orende, reclaim our harmony, and step into the beauty of who we are meant to be.
In the last blog, we’ve learned how the Shadow Dream Eye reveals the patterns and symbols in our dreams and how fears of the shadow self can block our growth. Now, let’s turn to the eyes that show us our connection to energy, karma, and the interwoven fabric of existence.
The eighth eye is located in the sole of the left foot. It is called the Karma Eye. This is the most unusual of the eyes: it sees images or tapes that are held in the physical body as well as the memory held within Grandmother Earth. It acts like a computer terminal screen. This eye looks inward and gives back what we have programmed into it. It shows you what is going on in the body.
The ninth eye is located in the sole of the right foot. It is called the Aura Eye. This eye sees the design and choreography of energy, the choices and decisions of your energy movement. All dancers and martial artists start off on their right foot. It is interesting that military men will always start off with their left foot. You might say they are stepping into their karma. These examples are no accident. They are intuitional responses to what is built into the unconscious mind. The responses then become autonomic and we detach from our natural connection with them. Yet it is built into the systems of all people.
The tenth eye is located in the navel. It is called the Soul Vine Eye. This eye sees the interconnections to all things within the Everything. That means with this eye we are able to see our connection with all the worlds: Mineral, Plant, Animal, Human, and Spirit. It is this eye which allows us to see the Little People—elves, dwarfs, sprites, and elemental spirits, as well as spirit guides.
This eye is also referred to as the “Great Spirit Eye.” It is symbolized in the sigil “Eye of Horus” which appears on the triangle of the U.S. dollar bill. This is the all seeing eye of the unknown which is able to glimpse the unknowable. The founding fathers of America belonged to a magickal lodge called the OTO (Order of the Temple of Orendus, later known as the Order of the Golden Dawn). They knew about the power in the use of magickal symbols.
The eyes of function, karma, and connection are the culmination of the journey through our ten eyes. Take these insights into your life and explore how each eye empowers you to see the world—and yourself—more clearly.
