Part of our Tyrants blog series.
Let’s look at our own biggest tyrant and one of the major contributors to our molding, sculpting and armoring – the five aspects of self.
We are going to overlay three wheels and discuss them in relation to your inner tyrant. The first in each direction is the Human Aspect, the second is the Warrior’s Attribute, and the third is the Balanced Choreography.

These aspects of self are inherent within all humans and have a basic choreography that if followed will keep the human in perfect balance. However, if these aspects get out of balance, we will open the door to any and all tyrants, create an energy drain and become our own worst tyrant. As you have already read, the molding, sculpting and armoring process occurs from our reaction to those people in our lives who want to make us into something other than who we are naturally. However, this is only part of the story. We also armor ourselves because of our reaction and attitude toward those image makers.
Let’s now look at three wheels that, when overlaid, will give you a good idea of how your inner aspects of self, filtered through your molding, sculpting and armoring, get out of balance and cause you to become vulnerable to the tyrants in your life.
South:
In the south is the element of water and your emotions. For a human to have emotional balance and control, they must give with those emotions. Any other action with the emotions will act to block the natural flow and dam up the energy movement. When you do anything else except give with the emotions, they begin to build up within you. This creates imbalances and you will lose control. In order to give with the emotions, you must express, let go of, and release them as they come up. Honest open heart-to-heart communication facilitates this movement. The many ways water flows provide clues to how our energy must move as in E-motion, energy in motion. When you hold with the emotions, instead of give, they will come out in some other way-perhaps exploding at someone, or imploding into yourself and causing sickness or illness. When tyranted you will lose balance and control of your emotions. This is the work of your own inner tyrant.
For example, when a person is pestering you every five minutes for something and you do not take steps to stop it, you begin to hold with your emotions instead of give with them. What happens next is often not pretty. The pressure or energy begins to build inside you until one day just one little thing will cause you to explode.
