2.1. WHAT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us through this Site via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. With the exception of User Content licensed to Deer Tribe as provided in the Terms of Use for the Site. Deer Tribe is the sole owners of any information collected on this Site. We may use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted and may use the information in the ordinary course of running the Deer Tribe. We will not share your information with any third party outside of the Deer Tribe, other than necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order. Depending upon the nature of the information, we may share information within the Deer Tribe, including volunteers, teachers or apprentices. Unless you ask us not too, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services or changes to this privacy policy.

Subscriptions

In order to subscribe to the Deer Tribe email newsletters, you must provide certain information (e.g. name and email address). This information is used to contact you.

Membership, Proles, Blogs or Forums

In order to obtain access to certain portions of this website, a user must become an apprentice member of the Deer Tribe which requires the user to complete a registration form. During the registration, a user is required to give certain information (name, address, email address, phone number, etc.). At your option, you may also provide demographic or profile information (such as gender, age, experience level, etc.) about yourself or participate in blogs, forums, messaging, connections or other portions of the website that involve the exchange of information. Information regarding members may be used to contact you about available products/services/events, may be published or shared with other members, may be used to seek donations or other assistance for the Deer Tribe, and may be used in other ways in which the Deer Tribe believes would be beneficial to the experience of Deer Tribe members.

Orders, Events, Donations

If you order books, videos, or other products or services, or sign up for events of the Deer Tribe, make a payment or a donations to the Deer Tribe, we request information from you. To buy or obtain services from us, to participate in our events, or to make a payment or donation, you may be asked to provide contact information (like name, shipping address, etc.) and financial information like (credit card number, expiration date, etc.). This information is used and may be shared with third parties as necessary for billing purposes and to fill your orders, to sign you up for the event, or to complete the payment or donation and be used to contact you or in other ways in which the Deer Tribe believes would be beneficial to the experience of Deer Tribe members.

Some information provided through the website may be updated through the Site. To the extent such information is not updatable through the Site, please contact us if you wish to modify your information.

(c) Privacy Policy Modifications and Updates. We may update and modify this Privacy Policy at any time with or without prior notice by publishing the updated policy on the Site

(d) Effective Date: The effective date of this new privacy policy shall be December 31, 2017.

(e) Do Not Track Signals. We do not currently honor “do not track” signals issued by browsers or other third party sources.

(f) Third Party Tracking: As a matter of transparency, we’ve decided to disclose to you whether third parties can acquire and track your personally identifiable information through our website. Google and other sites listed below can track you through this Site as we use their services for social media and infrastructure purposes. Google participates in the NIA opt out program. (g) California Eraser Law. We comply with the California eraser law. To the extent you are a minor and wish to have any content you’ve posted to the Site removed, please contact us using the Contact link in the footer of the Site to make the request. Please note the removal of this content from the Site does not mean it will be removed from the web as search engines, archive websites and other platforms may have copied the content in question.

2.2. WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DOES Deer Tribe COLLECT?
(a) AUTOMATIC COLLECTION. Our servers automatically recognize visitors’ domain names and IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet). No personal information about you is revealed in this process. The Site may also gather anonymous aggregate “traffic data” that does not personally identify you, but that may be helpful for marketing purposes or for improving the services we offer.

(b) COOKIES. We may use “cookies” to store a small piece of data on your computer during your visit to collect information. The cookies are used to gain information on how you use the web, which we try to incorporate into the Site to improve your experience.

3.1. WHAT DOES DEER TRIBE DO WITH COLLECTED INFORMATION?

(a) PERSONAL INFORMATION. If you are not a registered member of the Deer Tribe, will not share your personal information with any third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide you with the products, services, events, etc. offered by us or to comply with the law. Examples of such services include, but are not limited to, third parties providing email facilitation and hosting. However, please note that if you leave the Site and purchase a product or service we promote, the company you purchase from may notify us of the purchase as well as certain identifying information for you. We do not share this information with others. If you access the portions of this website available to apprenticed members of the Deer Tribe, your information, including portions of your profile, your postings to blogs, forums, messages, connections and groups or other information you upload as an apprenticed member may or if you otherwise upload to portions of this website that are designed to allow postings or exchange information may be used to contact you, may be published or shared with other members, may be used to seek donations or other assistance for the Deer Tribe and may be used in other ways in which the Deer Tribe believes would be beneficial to the experience of Deer Tribe members.

(b) ANONYMOUS INFORMATION. We use anonymous information to analyze our Site traffic. In addition, we may use anonymous IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our Site, or to display the content according to your preferences. Traffic and transaction information may also be shared with business partners and advertisers on an aggregate and anonymous basis. Your personal information will not be detailed in this aggregate data.

(c) USE OF COOKIES. We use information obtained from cookies to analyze your use of the Site and to make appropriate adjustments.
