The Powers and Manifestations of the Four Directions: Part II- North & East
As we began exploring the South & the West directions in Part I within the powers of the four directions is an essence, a give-away, a medicine. It is their self-expression and how they touch life with beauty. The four directions each have such a power.
In the North
In the North is the power of logic, knowledge, and wisdom. This is sound reasoning brought about by the understanding gained through actual experiences. This results in the clear perception of truth gained through good sense and insight. This can only be received by a flexible, open mind whose intent is to be in balance and harmony with the other worlds of Grandmother Earth.
The language of logic, knowledge, and wisdom is manifested through science, math, and technology.
The corresponding human aspect here is the mind. Our mind should be an empty vessel, clear and open. It is essential to keep the mind as flexible as possible, seeing 360 degrees around the wheel of life wherever possible.
In the East
In the East is the power of illumination and enlightenment. To illuminate our lives is to make clear, to brighten up with light, our instructions from the creatrix/creator. This gives us the enlightenment and the spiritual insight we seek. When we allow our spirits to expand, we can catch those insights which illuminate our life. By compounding the illuminations, we can achieve enlightenment.
The human aspect which corresponds to the east is the spirit. Spirit is the “fire” within us which directs the mind. The mind receives our determination to materialize a body in this dimension. Spirit knows in “reality” what we have come here for, what our spiritual vision is.
Step into the space of creating an original piece of artwork and you will experience the movement of spirit through the essence of creativity. This is the language or manifestation of the East.
In the Center
In the Center is the breath, known in other traditions as Chi, Ki, or Prana. In Cherokee, this is the Chuluaqui energy. This is the pure life force energy which makes all life and all power possible. The Center is manifested in the egg and seed of all creation.
The human aspect in the Center is our sexuality. We catalyze with the soul through sexual orgastic energy. Because this sits in the Center and is a catalyst, the balance or imbalance of our heart, body, mind, and spirit depends on us having our sexuality in balance.
The language of the Center is open heart to heart communication. We all know how key open hearted sharing is within our sexual relations.
