Rites of Passage Facilitators Training

Empowering Individuals & Families

Our Sweet Medicine SunDance (SMSD) Rites of Passage ceremonies are one of the many ways that we reach out into the wider community. The Moon Cycle ceremonies prepare us to meet Life’s challenges and critical learning Opportunities with courage, power and grace.

We also offer ceremonies and rites to assist, support, and empower individuals, parents, and families to meet life events that we all share: birth, relationships (including the forming, storming, dissolving, and resolving phases), death, and the call of Life to continue onwards.

Three Levels of Training

Training for interested SMSD apprentices occurs at three levels:

• Pipe Carriers train to become Facilitators

• Sacred Pipe Carriers train to become Ceremonialists

• Qualified Teachers train to become Specialists.

In this way, the maximum numbers of ceremonies are made available to the greatest number of people.

We share a vision where children are raised from conception onward inside the Stream of Livingness as balanced humans!
