The Star Maidens Circle: The NorthEast

In the Northeast of the Star Maidens Circle (SMC) is the Design and Choreography of Energy. This means we design the movement and flow of our energies through our life process. The persistent question from the Northeast is, “Whatcha gonna do?” The components of energy choreography are priorities, decisions, and choices.

Priorities are the things in life that are the most important to us. Decisions are the medium-sized resolutions we come to. Choices are the everyday options we select. The challenge is to set your priorities and then make your decisions and choices in alignment with those priorities. For example, if I say my priority is to get a brown belt in Martial Arts, I am saying this holds importance for me. Therefore, when it is time to work out and I have to decide whether to go to class or stay home and watch television, I must decide to go to class to support my priority.

While I am at class, I have the choice to fully immerse myself or watch the clock and be bored. As you can see, my priorities, decisions, and choices must be in alignment with each other. If you find that you are consistently making decisions and choices which are not supporting your priority, you need to go back and re-evaluate your priority.

The dark mirror of choreography is self-sabotage, procrastination, laziness, or feeling sorry for yourself, thus not supporting your priorities. An example would be making dinner because your spouse wants you to when you don’t have energy to do so—or, rather, giving up a higher priority to do this. The light side of choreography is using our energy in balance and harmony with ourselves. We are setting priorities and supporting them with our decisions and choices. It is being awake and impeccable with minimum effort and maximum efficiency. This is jargon for getting a lot done in a little amount of time. An example would be choosing to make dinner because it holds a high priority for you.

The Director of the Movie Drama Wheel sits in the Northeast. It is the director who must answer the question “Whatcha gonna do?” at every choice point during each day. It is the director’s responsibility to hold the overall picture in the forefront of his/her mind and then choreograph the individual pieces so that the design is actualized. What will it take to actualize yourself into a happy, hopeful human being? That is the top priority: self-development and growth into an autonomous, free individual. The decisions a director makes must honor the priorities which are set. Choices are those actions taken which keep the decisions that honor the priority.

The Warrior’s Attributes are Relaxation and Focus. If you have your priorities, decisions, and choices in alignment, then you just relax and take care of business. The key to all proper choreography is to relax. When you relax, you can access the beauty of your design. Focus is where you place your attention. If you are under stress, it is very difficult to focus. Focus your energy with commitment, discipline, and follow-through.
